Solace Bed
A curved bed wrapped in bouclé.
Made to order
A bed with a wrapping headboard. It curves round the mattress on 3 sides. The whole form is upholstered. Bouclé is the standard cover.
The frame is shaped in kiln-dried beech. Padding is layered, not moulded. The base floats on walnut feet. Sized for 180 or 200 cm mattresses.
It makes a bedroom feel held. It suits a hotel suite. Nothing hard meets the hand.

Materials and finishes
- Looped wool yarn, woven for depth and warmth. It pills lightly at first, then settles.
- Angora mohair, woven in Belgium on old looms. The pile flattens where you sit, then recovers.
- Pennsylvania walnut, chosen for cathedral grain. Oiled, it lightens to a warm honey.
